Big Lamb weekly testimony!

Hi

Matt 6:33
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

I am simply amazed at how God has really shown himself true for me this past week and how He personified this verse for me. I had a presentation on Monday and was wondering how I would complete it as the past weekend was going to be one my busiest weekends in terms of serving.

On friday, I served as praise guitarist for my cg. As my good friend's cg was in need of a guitarist, I volunteered my time on Saturday morning as well. This was after I was very inspired by my CG member's testimony about Obed Edom (who served God so selflessly because he simply enjoyed the presence of God). Therefore I decided to be like Obed Edom. After a fruitful lunch and fellowship, I proceeded to service to serve in the choir ! (thank God for the new system in which I really made more friends!) .

The following morning, it was again off to Church to serve the choir (its just a joy to be on stage when you see the enthusiasm of the congregation!) followed by leading some members for fellowship (as I'm the co- fellowship IC). I reached home at about 3pm and by then I was extremely exhausted. I did also have an early CNY dinner to go to in the evening as my grandmother was going overseas during the CNY period.

It was only at about 930pm could I start preparation for my presentation and tutorial activities.

This was when the miracle happened.........
Normally it would take me awhile before I understood what I was reading but this time around the readings became so clear to me! That was one tasked down and at the next task (rehearsing for the presentation) , God supernaturally gave me ideas after ideas of how I can make my presentation relevant, informative, and at the same time engaging enough. God gave me useful memories of my past that I have might have otherwise forgetten and He even inspired me with good phrasings to use. Everytime a new idea came to my head the only thing I could say was 'wow God, this must be you!' In fact, I could even use parts of my CGLs message for my presentation as I somehow got inspiration of how to modify and blend it into the topic.

Not only did I recieve alot of inspiration, but due to time constrains, we couldn't do our presentation and it had to be postponed to the week after. This would give me more time to rehearse and go through the presentation again. Indeed our God is an amazing God and when we seek Him, we will be blessed and He will take care of our needs!

14 Now thanks be unto God, who always causeth us to triumph in Christ and who maketh manifest through us the savor of His knowledge in every place.
indeed our God is all knowing and He can manifest His knowledge to us!

Something I learnt in CG is that when we focus on Jesus, we must have the faith to believe that no matter our circumstances, we are not alone and indeed no matter how bleak a situation may be (even if it is a fight with Goliath), we will always hold a winning position. Faced with a giant, David quotes In 1 Samuel 17:45 "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. 47 All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”

In the same way, whenever we face trials, let's remember that we hold the upper hand, because our God is with us!
